UP's Trevor Dunbar ready for world cross country championships

Trevor Dunbar of the University of Portland will compete in the world cross country championships Sunday.

University of Portland freshman Trevor Dunbar left Monday for theIAAF World Cross Country Championships, which take place Sunday in Bydgoszcz, Poland. 

Dunbar made the U.S. junior team by finishing first in the USA Junior Championships in Spokane, covering the eight-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 4 seconds. 

"He'll do his best," Portland coach Rob Conner said. "We're assuming that will be pretty good."
